New purchases

I got roped into buying some pieces on missguided. The life of a shopaholic. I can't seem to resist when shops send out those increased student discount codes. Quite happy with these buys though. They're really cute and backless which I love. I thought the playsuit would be perfect for when I go travelling this summer and the pink dress was just a treat for me and the temptation was too great, even though I'm now poor. Atleast I'll look good.

Karloca playsuit in cream - £19.99
Orlina Pink Scallop Dress - £34.99

I've got an asos delivery on the way so keep your eyes open :)

Spring Wishlist Round 2

Lets just get straight to the point:
MULES!
I've seen a few of these floating around lately (mainly the Zara ones) and didn't really know what to think of them. Until I saw these ones....
Fee Satin Block Heel Mule
£165
(they also come in leather and white £185)
I'm so used to wearing my heeled boots over winter and i've been looking for a pair of heels that are more suitable for the warmer days. I think mules are great for that purpose, plus block, chunky heels are really in at the moment. You've got to love a bit of 90's chic every now and then.

Speaking of heeled shoes for the day, i've also been looking for some heeled sandals. I was eagerly anticipating the Mollie King line at Oasis. In my opinion she's one of the most stylish girls in The Saturdays.  I saw these sandals in a magazine before the launch of her line and that just been waiting.

They're still not available to buy online but when they are i think i will snap up these bad boys. White is also a very popular colour for shoes this spring/summer. The feels not too high and so perfect for the day. I think they retail at around £40 which is a really reasonable price.

Now in England Spring is never really that warm. I mean even in the summer we get about 2 weeks of heat and the rest of the time you're going to need something to keep you warm in the evenings or when its a bit breezy. So i'm always on the lookout for a spring coat.

Vanessa Tailored Coat in Lilac
£34.99
This coat also comes in pink and camel. Gahhhh I want them all! But if i had to pick one it would be this. Lilac is my all time favourite colour and so I am LOVING the continuation of the pastel trend. I've seen a few other bloggers rocking this coat, Sarah Ashcroft and Charlotte Fisher, and i think its just ideal for this time of year.

I'm doing a big trip this summer around Central America and so swimwear is going to be important. If you haven't heard about Triangl already go and check out their instagram or website asap, just know that you will want every bikini/underwear item you see.
Just Yes!
California Coral
$79
Just looking at their pictures makes me want everything, and if i could i would own every colour bikini, they just look so flattering and perfect, just perfect! Converted into pounds each bikini costs around £47 then plus shipping probably will take you to around £60. BUT worth the investment right? i'm definitely trying to convince myself that it is.

Never Fully Dressed Slip Dress
£29
I thought this was a really reasonable price and really cute. I like neverfullydressed.com as its not as a main stream and has some really cute little pieces that aren't as obvious. This dress is really nice and simple, but styled correctly could look great day or night.

That'll be all for now

Night Out - Spring/Summer Style Ideas

So I've got a few nights out coming up and thought i'd update you on some of the possibilities I have/ some of the things I've been buying.

First up is a monochrome look, because who doesn't love black and white?!

Dress - Boohoo.com
Blazer - Urban Outfitters
Necklace - Topshop
Shoes - Topshop (brand new on ebay = BARGAIN)
I love the v-neck detailing on this dress and the block colours are really flattering and in a way create
an illusion of a slimmer frame (ain't nobody gonna complain about that)
The necklace is lovely and a rare thing for me to wear, I do find that it tangles quite easily though.
Love the blazer as its really lightweight and just the right length.
The shoes are really comfy, I really like the buckle detail and have received quite a few compliments for them.
The grea thing about the shoes is you can wear them casually or in the evening.
I would probably wear these shoes with every outfit i've posted.

Necklace - ASOS
Top- ASOS
Skirt - Missguided.com
I've had this skirt for a while, I really like it but for some reason I'm nervous to wear it.
I think when I do I will wear it like this though.

Shirt - Pretaportobello.com
Crop Top - Topshop
Skirt - Topshop
This is a more of a day to night look, because for me, I would happily wear this look during the day or night.

What do you think? YAY or NAY?

:)

Spring/Summer 14 Wishlist

I've recently started my first PR internship and so a lot of my time is spent looking at clothes, not that that really differs to my normal day to day life to be honest. But I do notice that when you're forced to look at clothes and are surrounded by a showroom full of pretty things it makes your wish list pile up.

The first thing I'm loving at the moment is the pastel shades. My favourite colour is purple and so I really enjoy the lilac shades but also love the pastel pinks. I think that the blue and minty green tones are also lovely but feel they don't really suit my complexion as much. Yellows are also really cute, but i've just always been afraid of the colour.

My favourite LFW Show was Burberry (I've always been a sucker
for lacey things and the colours were just perfect) and I think
that Warehouse have a pretty nice take on the Burberry Look.
I try to steer away from the cooler colours on the top because they have a tendency to flush me out,
so this skirt is perfect.
Warehouse Lace Pencil Skirt
£55

This little crop is perfect to team with a midi skirt like the one above,
or a more simple option like the one below.
Topshop Rib Crop Tee
£8

Gingham is a quite a popular trend on the high street at the moment,
its quite subtle yet stylish and this skirt in particular works well with pastel tones.
Topshop Monochrome Gingham Tube Skirt
£24

Carrying on with the Gingham theme Pull & Bear do a really nice Gingham Co-Ord.
Strangely they don't style the items together on the site, however,  I think the items go really nicely
together and are perfect for spring.
Pull & Bear Check Print Crop
£17.99
Pull & Bear Print Skirt
£15.99

I saw this look uploaded on the Whistles Instagram pages earlier today
and fell in love.
I love the pink jumper and the fact that its crop and the front and dips at the back.
The trousers are also super cute and ideal for spring.
The Jumpers not yet on the website.
Whistles Flamingo Print Trouser
£380

Whistles also do a cute take on the slip on trainer which I love in both options. Perfect for the more
chilled out spring time look.
Whistles Lena Slip on Trainer
£135

I'm looking forward to what else the high street has to offer and will keep you updated on new additions to my wish list.
Let me know what you think, or what items are on your wish list.

Brrrrrrrrrr! Furrrrrrrrr

I've been looking for a Winter Jacket for a few weeks now, I was reluctant to buy one un my budget but when ASOS had a flash 20% student discount I succumb to the impulse buy! I mist say the coat came and I am in love with it pretty much! It's from Oasis and without the discount would have cost me £110 but hello student budget! So i was pretty pleased with the £88 that I got it for. Awaiting its arrival I was a bit sceptical about that the quality of the faux fur would be but it's so nice, i'm really pleased and can't wait to wear it tomorrow.

The fur is lovely and cosy and the buttons are concealed. The fur is also removable and so if i really wanted to could wear it without or attach another stole to the jacket.  It's made from a wool blend and so hopefully will keep me nice and warm doing my christmas shopping or during festivities in Winter Wonderland.

Other coats I've had my eye on, mainly on ASOS because I'm slightly addicted...
Wasn't sure about the colour on this ASOS Parka with Patent Detail, I came close to purchasing it a few times but was hesitant and so haven't got round to it yet. Looks really snug though, and the patent cuffs and shoulder give it a unique edge!  RRP: £95 so not a bad buy!
I really like oversized jackets and this one i've had
my eye on this one for a while. It looks very cosy
and like you could fit a lot of layers underneath it
which is great. The Selected Trish Ovoid Coat
(available on asos) in Wool Tweed RRP's at £170.
I attended at asks talk at uni where we got a special
20% off discount code so i might use that for this
bad boy! Maybe after i've done the Christmas
Shopping though!
This one, I think, is really nice! Another Parka with a
faux fur collar, can't get enough of the faux fur! It's by
Katie Judith available on ASOS RRP: £242 but special
ASOS price of £170, which is one of the main reasons why
I considered buying it. I also like the contract of fabrics, not
sure how well you can see it in this picture but there's a
sort of herringbone fabric on the bottom at on the back of the
jacket. A really nice touch.

Sucker for British High Street

I officially love this time of year. It's Autumn, the leaves are falling off the trees and  its the perfect excuse to start layering, wear more clothes, buy a winter coat or two and just wrap up nice and snug. At the moment I've been going a little crazy with shopping and there's just so many things that I want to buy.
I never used to buy on eBay but recently I've discovered there are some really good sellers that sell shops seconds and ex display items, for so much cheaper than retail price. Really, whats not to love?
I've yet to buy anything off them, but when I do you'll be the first to know.
I did however buy this amazing faux fur gilet off a seller just recently.

It came today in the post, I'm in love. It's from Topshop and RRP'd at £75, I won the auction at £33 which i think is a great deal. It actually looks really real which is a added bonus because faux fur can often be tacky.

I also bought a Floppy Hat. Its from American Apparel and is sold in store for £39, I won the auction at £16 which I was pretty pleased with. It should be delivered in the next few days.
I'm anticipating it's arrival as I've wanted one for ages but rarely wear hats,  so was a bit skeptical about buying one. But whenever I see people wearing them i just die inside and feel the need for one. They're so simple and chic, that I just couldn't resist any longer.

Now on to my WISHLIST.
I am loving the new Save for Later option on ASOS. I just browse through  when i'm bored and then click save for later and come back to it when I can afford it (or when ASOS do that fab 20% off Student Dsicount for a day or two, those days are definitely unavoidable). At the moment I'm dying for a new Winter Coat so I have a few of those on there, as well as some other key autumn/winter pieces.

Better late than never - London Fashion Week Sept -2103

Now I may be slightly bias because I'm British, but in my opinion British Designers are the most innovative and exciting. So although this post is fairly out of date considering LFW ended about 2 weeks ago now, I'm still up for giving my praise to those British Designers that I cant get enough of. I decided just to go with two of my faves otherwise id be here all night.

Probably the most affordable range on the catwalk: Topshop Unique
In my eyes Topshop can do no wrong, the rare occasion they do, we forgive them because we love them so.
I can safely say that half of my wardrobe is from Topshop as it's just perfect for the young girl, student, lady who loves to keep up to  date with fashion without spending through the roof.
Topshop Unique say their ideal client is “Someone with her own unique sense of style, who is not afraid to stand out from the crowd.”
Their S/S 2014 collection targets their client perfectly with the combination of neutral colours and bold prints. Knowing my personal sense of style, the Unique show doesn't scream to me, but then it would be debated whether I am their 'ideal  client'.
Here's a few pieces that I would pick up off the rail.

I'm a sucker for the Topshop Cami's and the Unique Cami dress is gorgeous and elegant in the navy maxi, fun and fresh in the cream and orange and cute and flirty in the shorter two tone.

This tuxedo style jumpsuit is androgynous yet keeps it feminine with a super sexy low cut back. (unfortunately you cant see the back in this snap)

Now on to Burberry Prorsum
If I had the space and time I would post almost every picture from this catwalk show, so chic and effortless, with pieces that are just timeless and so perfect for Spring. I love this colours in this collection, I just want it all.

LOVE this colour LOVE LOVE LOVE.
It wouldn't be Burberry without a Trench,
this one is light and easy for those warmer breezy days.

A sheer blouse never goes a miss and paired
with this beautiful crochet midi, why not, its simple
but works so well.

What do you think about my two faves? Think I've missed out some key pieces from the collections or
do you think their are other designers worth giving my opinion on?
